Magnetic charging, not USB-C

The cable snaps on. The X4 Pro comes with the adapter; use any USB-C cable you already own. Battery lasts days to weeks.

No light on the X3 and X4 Classic

Great in daylight and normal rooms. For the dark, get the X4 Pro or the $9.99 magnetic reading light.

The stock software is basic

It works, but it's simple. Many owners install the free CrossPoint firmware. Units from xteink.com are allowed to run it.

Does it stick to my iPhone?

Yes. The back is magnetic and works with MagSafe iPhones. Metal adhesive rings come in the box for Android and non-MagSafe phones.

How do I get books onto it?

Send them from your phone with the app (the X4s use Wi-Fi), or copy them to the included microSD card. It reads EPUB and TXT; the X4 Classic also opens PDF and MOBI.

Can I read Kindle books on it?

Not Kindle-locked books. It's built for your own EPUB/TXT files, free classics, and DRM-free stores.

What if I don't like it?
